How Clean are Fast Food Restaurants?

In this article ''Dirty Dining?" is an article about how clean and safe 10 of our fast food chains are. If we people are hungry we want something to eat that is fast and tasty and fast food restaurants are something close to that. Most people know what goes on in fast food restaurants but why do we still eat it? In each of these 10 chains is 75,000 restaurants.(Taco Bell, McDonald's, KFC, Subway, Jack in the Box, Dairy Queen, Hardees, Wendy's, Arby's and Burger King.) They use health inspectors to survey which chains are the direst and cleanest.
In these different states they found dead rodent traps, things that don't belong in food and illnesses. This makes me feel disgusted because we eat these fast foods and we don't know what goes on behind the counters. Health inspectors say they can't close down the restaurant but they can give violations. I was shocked that there is a 60% problem that are hazardous to our health because sometimes we cant help but eat a fast food meal once in a while and we can end up with a horrible illness.
I also felt happy because people again are trying to keep up with what is going on with food that we eat.

  1. I'm not surprised at what this article has to say about the environment in which our fast food is made. Ever since the Taco bell incident that occurred a couple of years ago, I stopped trusting a lot of fast-food restaurants. Also, the workers are usually high school students, who in my opinion, tend to be lazy. Proper hygiene in these fast-food joints is not expected to be evident when it comes to lazy workers. I just hope an illness doesn't affect everyone that consumes these types of food.
